I love to create images of friendship, mother/daughter relationships, ideas of magic and possibilities, expressions of love, gratitude and aloha. My images usually begin with a word or an idea. Sometimes I write essays and poetry from my experiences with a friend, my daughters, my grandchildren or a family member, and these writings inspire images that show up in my mixed media or fiber art work. My art is inspired by real and raw human interactions. Many of these images become fabric panels.
Recently I discovered that I enjoy working in series and I'm currently working on a textile painting abstract series titled "Songs of My Heart."
