Octágono has Silvia in textiles and Rich in rustic wood, and a B&B.
Sil is a textile designer/creator and educator, who runs a collective of women and youngsters, with the purpose of providing educational and income opportunities to the community. She is also a textile artist who has exhibited in museums and galleries, both nationally and internationally. She also broadcasts a weekly cultural show on national Costa Rican radio.

Rich is originally from Colorado, USA, and later became a Costa Rican citizen. He's a geographer, cartographer, land surveyor, and has a lot of experience on Costa Rican trail&trek situations. Hiking is his passion, and he has both patience to guide slow-moving persons, and the ability to guide in athletic outings. His wood working projects are spread all over the Octágono compound—from functional to artistic cypress pieces available for sale.
