I ... use mainly cotton and linen fabrics, mostly in neutrals and/or naturally hand dyed by me ... repurposed fabrics/materials which had some kind of life of their own already before they become part of my pieces - and so bring fragments of their story into it ... don´t plan much in my work, I prefer chance to be my ally, and to allow materials to drift towards each other on their own account ... am telling stories, or - more often - give hints that there is a story to be found somewhere ... would like the onlooker to feel encouraged to slow down, breathe, grab hold of own, perhaps only half remembered story threads... am in love with used fabrics, their honesty, modesty, and perseverance...
