I grew up with a mother, grandmother and aunts who were skilled quilters and seamstresses willing to share their knowledge. I have done many different crafts - quilting, embroidery, silk dying, knitting, crocheting and weaving. I have found that the one that excites me most is embroidery. I love color and texture! I call what I do now "unconventional embroideries." I finally feel like I have come home. This work is where I belong and creating it completes me. I hope my work invokes wonderful feelings and emotions in you as they did in me as I created them.
