I am a fiber folk artist loving life in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies! After nearly 30 years in the home-sewing industry, my focus for the past five years has been on needle felting and embroidery as fiber art. The name of my studio in Colorado is Nestle and Soar, and I named it this because much of my work involves my wool fiber depiction of birds and trees. The first bird I ever needle felted (I do only 2-D work -- nothing sculptural -- so far!), was nicknamed the Bluebird of Happiness, as it had a sly smile on its face. That is one of the best parts about being a folk artist: I get to infuse my work with a sense of humor!
I hope you will visit my Nestle and Soar boutique online! There is always something new at Nestle and Soar.
