Hi, my name is Toni and I am the person behind Zeni Design Studios. I am originally from Boston – in the United States. But after following an internal calling - I now call France my home.

When I was a little girl, I asked my mother to teach me how to knit and crochet. There was something about these crafts that I felt like I had to know. Some sort of unexplained necessity. And my amazing mother dutifully taught me, igniting a love of textiles that eventually resulted in Zeni Design Studios, which is actually named after her.

From the beginning I have been fascinated with the concept of transforming what is in fact, although luxurious, a piece of string, or, in the case of the sewn items, a piece of fabric into something usable, wearable, functional & visually and tactilely beautiful. I consider my designs modern classics.
