My ultimate passion is making ordinary photographs into Fabric Art Quilts. This is my 9th year of working with fused batiks and hand dyed fabrics. This process started more than 10 years ago with making Watercolor or Color wash floral quilts and wall hangings. A few years later, I began making Mosaic Photo Quilts from ordinary photographs for family members as gifts.
My quilt have traveled internationally and are still loaned out to exhibitions, all over the country. I have been published in several books and magazines.
I have also become interested in making fiber arts and mixed media designs. I have collected numerous books, following several blogs and taken a few classes. I do have some of these items in my shop.
They are wall hangings, mug rugs, aceos, postcards, bookmarks and other accessories. Please visit my Etsy shop to see what I have just listed.

The waterfall is made using
The waterfall is made using 1/2" strips of cotton fabrics. They are fused to a fusible tricot backing and the edges are overlapped. This process is called raw edged applique.
The white fabric at the bottom is a glitter fabric and it makes the water look misty.
I made this after the Virginia Tech tragedy. While making the art, I felt a sense of calmness and peace, which was therapeutic in such a tragic loss.
I'd like to leave a comment
I'd like to leave a comment regarding Diana's exquisite work. I recently began carrying a messenger bag that I bought from her this winter through her etsy shop. It's just one rave after another. Everyone notices the bag and then examines it. The colors are deep and clear, the prints are magnificent, the bag structure so unusual--and of course, it holds everything and hangs well--doing what it is supposed to but so classy, so outstanding. I hope you will give her work and shop a look and see what she can make for you. It's sure to be a treasure. Good luck to you, Diana!
