A friend once said about my art: "You have a healthy disregard for the materials you work with." Combining the love of fabric and mixed media has been the focus of my work for the last few years. If I can take something apart, and stitch it onto one of my art quilts, or add vivid color to anything that desperately needs it (in my humble opinion, of course), I am a happy artist! I dye and paint cloth, love to hand embroider small quilts, and have a new passion for nunofelting! I teach locally at the Rockford Art Museum, and also work part-time at our local Jo-Ann Fabrics, where it's fun to work with the shipments and get to stock all the new fabric.
