Measuring 42" x 53" (15.45 sq. ft.) this reversible quilt features a striped front side constructed in an improvised manner, (meaning this is a one of a kind work!) from wonderful shot cotton fabrics. (Shot cottons are fabrics that have been woven with one color weft and another color warp, giving them a special depth and richness which I find very lovely.) The back of the quilt features a row of improvised log cabin blocks, also made from shot cottons, surrounded by a solid Kona cotton fabric.

This quilted throw has been made with use in mind. Throughly machine quilted, to help insure a long and beautiful life. (The quilting on a quilt isn't just decorative... it provides a function. If a quilt isn't quilted enough, the batting inside can begin to separate, and bunch up, especially after washing... who wants that?) And best yet, it's completely machine washable and machine dryable. In fact as a final finishing in it's construction, I have already washed and dried this quilt, (using dye-free, fragrant-free, environmentally friendly detergent and softener) to help bring out it's cuddly nature, and fabulous texture!
