This glorious textile painting in purple, lilac and lavender, was inspired by watching female gymnasts compete. It depicts the four events in women's artistic gymnastics (WAG): uneven bars, beam, vault and floor. I called it 'Art in Motion' - the alternative title is 'Olympic Dreams'.

The gymnasts were silk screen printed on a gorgeous piece of batik cotton using freezer paper stencils and purple textile paint. Their lilac shadows and the gold cup were added using oil paint sticks. The piece was quilted in a radiating pattern.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back in which you can insert a dowel to hang the quilt.
This quilt is not washable, but it should not need to be cleaned; only occasionally dusted.
It was made in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
