"Furoshiki" are a wonderful, practical cloth that is not an isolated Japanese invention. So many cultures have wrapping cloths when you think about it. I think we should get in the act. That's my thinking.

In another vein, as a maker...I love working on cloth and furoshiki are a wonderful canvas for color, imagery and pattern, not matter what kind.

I love exploring Japanese folk imagery as that is my cultural reference and background - hence the rabbit and the moon (not to mention the indigo).
