This Yokette Scarf has a look of a long yoke, almost a vest look. I have made it so you can wear it 3 different ways. You can wear it down the front as a long draping gorgeous Yokette scarf. You can wear it as a shoulder sash to the side by tying the silk sari ribbon to the side losely. Last, you can wrap it around your neck in the colder months and tie the Silk sari ribbons in a bow at your neck. This is a dance of many fibers handspun and handmade ribbons. There is wool tinsel yarn, silk sari ribbon that I create called lavender buds, Paris Fog sari ribbon, Silk sari Chiffon ribbon that I make and last, the 1940's aged round crocheted circles that came from a beautiful table cloth and has lampwork/silver beads on them in white with tiny pink rosettes pattern.
The Yokette Scarf is 52" long of knitting/crochet and the fringe length to add to that is another 13". the crocheted white circles with lampwork bead and chiffon is 2.5" to 3" big. The neck piece that is crocheted added by silk sari ribbon is 2" wide, thicker than a necklace to make it work as a yokette scarf. Please feel free to ask any questions. This is an item that can be washed by hand in cool water and laid flat to dry.
A piece of Art to admire forever.
