Inspired by the traditional tattoo image of the sparrow. I tried to contrast the 2-D graphic line quality of the Sparrow with a 3-d sculpture by having the wing & tail coming out from it's wooden base.

This Sparrow was needle felted of 100% Romney wool. All the wool was hand-colored using non-toxic dyes, & the wing & tail parts have sturdy wire armature in it. It is pose able. It also has picture hanging hardware so that it will hang flat on your wall.

The piece measures 12" tall x 18" wide x 6" deep (including wing).
