I started a weaving course, and this is the first thing I've woven, using a forty-year-old IKEA loom. It took forever...I'm an absolute beginner, and the original idea of making a scarf has been ditched for the idea of using the material in a small decorative pillow for my sofa--it is too itchy for a scarf, but would look great in the living room! I love learning new techniques--never too old to learn something new--and I really appreciate the work and discipline that goes into the ancient craft of weaving--amazing!
