Much of my weaving is for historic re-enactors. "Mountain Men" of the Fur Trade Era use woven straps for bags, canteens, quivers, rifles, powder horns, and other things that need to be carried as well as for wearing sashes. Those who re-create Medieval times in the SCA, Renaissance Faires, Live-Action Role-Playing, etc. also find many uses for handwoven sashes and straps.
