My quilts are each made from 100% natural fibers–cotton, linen, silk, or blends of these. The batting and backing and thread are also 100% natural fibers. Each quilt is one-of-a-kind, often a variation of a traditional pattern, or sometimes, as in the examples below from an alphabet quilt for my granddaughter, designs that are wholly original. All solid colors are cloth that I have dyed with natural dyes. Prints, plaids and stripes are commercially produced.
All quilts are designed by me, pieced by machine and quilted by hand. Prices range from $400 to $5,600, depending upon size and complexity.
I have also authored two books: Old Dyes, New Quilts and Cattle Track Couture, both designed by award-winning designer, Carlos Mandelaveitia, and published by Cattle Track Press, Scottsdale, AZ.
