My artwork is primarily hand-dyed tapestry, warp-painted weaving, and sculptural objects. In my last year of working on my B.A. in Art History at Colorado State University in Fort Collins in the late 1990s, I discovered and fell in love with the expressive possibilities of fibers, and began to immerse myself in all things cloth. In 2006 I earned an M.F.A. in Fibers from Colorado State University, and have been teaching fibers, weaving, entrepreneurial classes, and collaborative classes in the arts at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley since 2007.  I am internationally exhibited, and sell my work through the Artful Home website as well as my own website.

In addition to my love of making things, I’m fascinated by the topics of creativity and psychology, and in 2012 completed a two-year certification in Leadership and Transformation at the Hendricks Institute in Ojai, California. This journey has led to my teaching expanding beyond the academic classroom (where I continue to teach) and into the community in the form of workshops and coaching groups and individuals on expanding and nurturing their creative expression. I work with artists and anyone who is interested in growing their capacity for living a more creative life.

We love hearing from our community!
