Inspired by organic forms and patterns I work to create distinctive colours, striking shapes and exquisite textures. I utilizing the memory of wool to explore the fibres’ potential to form sculptural, textured and raised surfaces. I manipulate the wool using stitch, nuno and shibori to achieve permanent shapes and patterns which echo my sources of inspiration making use of merino wool, silks, soya and velvets to make individual, small batches and commissioned pieces.
