Click to see an interview with Stephen through the New York Times.
Sri is a by-appointment textile showroom which showcases Japan’s antique indigo dyed country textiles and the folk textiles of India. Sri was founded by Stephen Szczepanek in 2001.
We are located in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, New York. We are also a blog and can be found on Instagram and Facebook.
Prior to opening Sri, Stephen held post as a curator for a private art collection in New York City–a collection that includes over 2,000 museum quality artworks and highlights masterpieces of 20th century design and the arts of Asia. During his ten years as a private curator, Stephen traveled widely throughout China, India and Japan where he was given access to these countries’ most important museum collections and their store rooms.

Contact Stephen through his website. He mostly works with Japanese textiles, so I don’t know if this will be a match for you…
I love boro and other Japanese indigo products, especially the antiques. I’m glad to have found your site.
