I work with textiles, cloth has been significant at all stages of my life, and I feel that the selecting, printing and dyeing, and stitching of fabrics help me to communicate my feelings, concern and observation of modern society, and the passage of time.
I am involved in many different textile groups, teach workshops and exhibit widely. I run classes with Linda Onions at The Granary. It is located in the pretty village of Owslebury, near to historic Winchester and on the edge of the South Downs National Park. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with many walks. The Pilgrims Way passes along the back wall of the studio and the Monarch’s way is close by. The National Trust property Hinton Ampner is just a few miles away and some great traditional pubs can be found in this and also in neighbouring villages. A list of local B and B’s is available on request.
Small classes with experienced tutors are our speciality, the principal tutors being myself and Linda Onions with many years of experience between us, teaching students from total beginners to level 5, degree level, in all textiles disciplines.
