Come escape the ordinary by taking a workshop on the mystic Isle of Whidbey! We have offered exceptional visual art workshops in fiber arts, for 29 years. Inspire your inner artist with an experience you will not soon forget taught by distinguished and nationally known faculty members. Our fiber slate include such notables as Jane Dunnewold, Carol Soderlund, India Flint, Irit Dulman, Flóra Carlile-Kovács and more. We are the Coupeville Arts Center doing business as The Pacific NorthWest Art School. Many long time attendees have come to know us as “Coupeville” and we want to let you all know that we still are the Coupeville Arts Center. In an effort to come up better in internet searches, we added six years ago the dba of The Pacific NorthWest Art School.

Workshops typically run two to five days in duration. Whidbey and Camano Islands are only an hour and a half north of Seattle (Washington, USA), and 2 hours south of Vancouver. Coupeville has many housing options from commercial inns, Bed and Breakfasts, cottages, cabins and even camping. Come and be prepared to have an extraordinary experience in and out of class! Class sizes generally run from 8 to 16 students. Since Coupeville is small, getting around is easy…many of our lodging options are located within walking distance of the school, shops, restaurants and of course, access to our beaches, bluffs, trails and scenic vistas. We have six parks on Whidbey Island and Coupeville is in the heart of the nations only historic preseve, Ebey’s Landing National Historic Preserve. So, you are coming to a truly unique place of which there is no other like it in the world.

We love hearing from our community!
