Boisali Biswas - Textile Artist

Boisali Biswas – Textile Artist

Boisali Biswas is a studio artist working in mixed-media fibers, currently residing in West Bloomfield, MI. She is originally from India, and her formative years were spent at Visva-Bharti International University, founded by the Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore. The essence of that profound experience of being in tune with nature throughout the educational journey has stayed with her and continues to influence her work. She has always had a deep-rooted attachment to the traditional art forms of her culture-rich homeland. There is an underlying influence of the captivating traditional patterns and techniques and usage of stunningly rich array of colors in Indian art.

Boisali has also had a lifelong fascination for ethnic and indigenous arts from around the world. Living in this country for over two decades and adapting to Western styles, techniques, inspirations in concert with her background and fascinations has made her Art into a cauldron of multicultural assemblages that are very unique and feast for the eyes.

Boisali Biswas Profile on TAFA

This item is on “Virtual Consignment” from one of our TAFA Members. Visit their profile link to learn more about them.

How it works:

We are an international organization with members in 44 countries. This item could literally travel around the world to its final destination! We are serving as an umbrella to help our members get more visibility for products they have to sell. TAFA does take a 25% commission for this service, which helps support our site and programs. If you shop through us, we are grateful!

When something sells:

The seller is paid immediately for 75% of the price. Both the seller and the buyer are notified of the purchase, receiving contact information for each other. From there, TAFA is not responsible for delivery options or processes. However, our members commit to prompt and professional customer service. Buyer and seller agree on what method works the best for them.

Shipping:

Many of our sellers are offering free shipping internationally for their products. If they are not able to do this, the shipping cost will be determined by distance, weight and carrier, the usual logistics that go with shipping a product. Buyer and seller will communicate directly to each other about shipping logistics. The listing indicates whether this item is offering free shipping or whether shipping fees will be added on. If the item is offering free shipping, insurance is NOT included and must be paid directly to the seller.

Returns:

We want all of our customers to be happy with what they get, therefore we are accepting returns for a full refund (minus cost of shipping, if applicable), no questions asked. We are attempting to provide good images and text to avoid the need for returns, but we understand that seeing images and seeing something in real life are different experiences. Items must be returned to the seller within 5 days of receipt in order to receive the refund. Once the seller receives the product (in the same condition in which it was sent), the seller notifies TAFA, they refund us and we refund the customer for the original amount.

Note: This is being run on an honor system and we will do our best to resolve any disputes in a sensible way. Our hope is that this trust will not be violated within such a wonderful community.

Purchases made outside of TAFA:

It is our hope that our customers will explore our member sites and support them with other purchases, commissions, etc. If that happens, we celebrate this relationship and do not expect any commission or further compensation.

Questions?

Please contact our member directly using the links you will find on their member profile if you have questions about this listing or anything else related to their work. If you have problems after delivery or other questions about TAFA, use the form on our About Page.
